Cold, Cold, Cold!

We had a very light dusting of snow in our neck of the woods, just enough to make the roof of houses look pretty, it melted pretty fast but it was still really cold out there and the wind was howling. Texas has this wind that seems to go right thru your bones!

This little mourning dove was perched outside our living room window trying to stay warm. It looked so cute all puffed up but I know it had to be so cold, I wanted so badly to go pick it up & wrap it in a blanket!

Later it hopped onto our patio & ended up spending the night on the fort part of the boys' swingset.

Poor little birds are as confused as we are about this cold weather!
